"In the beginning everything fit together perfectly"
“What begins innocently as a tender whisper of love, ends with a scream of passion. Such is the beginning of life.” – Connie Noyes 2013
This work is an examination of physical geography. It explores the primal urges of internal and external landscapes of aggression and tenderness that exist in the same space. It is the awareness of everyday life. Profound. Mundane.
I believe stories begin with a gesture. It may be bold and energetic, a series of small dots or anything in between. The nature of that initial gesture influences both the image and emotional content.
I choose playful materials. Oil and water caress one another in the dance of creation, leaving individual marks on the canvas. Their intertwined energies have no preconceived notion of existence, hence, random interactions add to the spirited complexity of their journey.
