Future Portals reflects my ongoing exploration of water as both witness and force, holding memory, grief, and the possibility of renewal. In this work, I imagine water as a threshold to an uncertain future—a dystopian view of climate change where humanity waits in the tense space of when. Rising seas, floods, and storms remind us that water is both life-giving and destructive, a mirror of our own fragility. By framing water as a portal, I ask viewers to stand at the edge of what cannot be postponed and to feel the weight of crossing into the unknown.
